I texted the seller, in the 20 min since he listed it, he had already gotten dozens of phone calls and texts. $1000 for a 2014, the ad said it needed a top end. About a week ago I popped on CL and saw a KX100 that was just listed a few minutes ago. ![]() I was casually searching Craig's List all winter for the right bike. I figure the KX is also a great tool to teach the wife some more off-road skills. I have been wanting to add a KX100 to the fleet for some different fun. I enjoy coming home from work and playing on a bike for an hour or so in the evening, the trials bikes have been great for that. I own some property and have a small motocross track in the backyard, as well as some trials obstacles. ![]() KTM300EXC > DRZ400 > a couple Yamaha WR250s > KTM200XCW > KTM Freeride. I started on a big bike and have gradually reduced weight and horsepower while at the same time increasing skill and fun. Yes, I have to rev it more to do big moves but I can still do everything I could do on the bigger bike and now I have a lot more control on the smaller low speed stuff. ![]() Most recently I downsized my trials bike from a GasGas 280 to a Sherco 125. I have owned some big displacement bikes and I have a lot more fun on the smaller bikes. I find it is a lot more fun to ride a bike at its limit than to try and hold back a large bike. I'll start by saying that I like small bikes. ![]()
